Lawrence Reinhold is our
Office's managing attorney. He holds a Masters and Bachelors Degree in Business
Administration. Mr. Reinhold obtained his Bachelors Degree from the University of Alaska -
Anchorage where he majored in accounting and finance and his law degree and MBA from
Samford University, Birmingham, Alabama.
Mr. Reinhold is admitted to the California State Bar, and to practice before the United States Tax Court, United States Court of Claims, various United States District Courts, United States Bankruptcy Court and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
Mr. Reinhold has worked in private practice and as in-house counsel. He has extensive experience litigating in both Federal and State courts. His broad educational and professional background represents a wealth of experience for our Firm to draw from and to build on.
Our Firm represents a broad spectrum of clients. They reside outside
the United States and in various states throughout the U.S. Our Firm's clients include internationally recognized scientists,
journalists, Olympic athletes, musicians, artists and many more. They also include very
small and very large firms in various industries. Many of the firms are international in
scope. Their businesses are involved in import, export, computers, restaurants,
engineering, media, garments, research, manufacturing, real estate and many other areas.
Primarily, the Firm's clients are from China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Burma, Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines and Europe. Naturally, our Office represents many U.S. based clients as well.
Our Firm focuses it resources on business and immigration matters. We strongly emphasize business and immigration planning as a vital strategy for avoiding litigation and government sanctions. The strategy is implemented by harmonizing aggressive business and immigration initiatives with the risk of litigation and government sanctions. In addition, our Firm frequently assists clients entangled in civil litigation, including bankruptcy matters. We file lawsuits to protect their interests or represent them if they are sued.
We routinely work with clients who must file documents with federal and state governments. These documents are typically required by law, or simply establish an economic or legal right. In addition, our Firm plans business transactions, drafts business documents and gives presentations to our clients' employees regarding specific legal issues. Many of our clients are closely held companies and their shareholders need tax advice regarding not only their businesses, but also their estates. Our Office helps with many of these tax questions.
We also routinely work with clients to assist them in establishing businesses in the United States, and filing multi-national manager & executive petitions with the United States Immigration & Naturalization Service so our clients can transfer personnel to their United States businesses.
More and more clients find it is necessary to hire employees from the international labor pool in order to compete in today's global economy. As a result, our Firm helps individuals and businesses plan for and file various types of employment based petitions with the United States Immigration & Naturalization Service.
Many of our clients obtain permanent residency status and eventually citizenship in the United States by filing investor petitions. We work with these clients to help setup their businesses, draft business plans and file their investor petitions with the United States Immigration & Naturalization Service. In addition, our Office regularly works with clients who have exceptional or extraordinary ability in various areas, including the visual arts, performing arts, science, literature, journalism and athletics. Our staff work with these clients to make the best possible presentation to the United States Immigration & Naturalization Service regarding their achievements and how our clients will advance the United States' national interest.
Often our clients need to transfer funds to the United States for business or personal reasons, but frequently they do not have bank accounts in the United States. Our Office offers clients the option of transferring funds directly into our Office's client trust account, which is monitored by the State Bar Of California. This service helps avoid the danger of carrying large amounts of cash internationally.
Most of the communication between our
Office and our clients is conducted in Chinese and English. As a result, our Office has
designated Tanya Tan as the lead person to coordinate and translate the communication. She
is not a member of the California Bar, but she does have more than fifteen (15) years
experience handling various immigration matters. Ms. Tan speaks, reads and writes English
and Chinese fluently. In the event that she is unavailable, our Office has other staff who
can speak, read and write English and Chinese fluently.
